The Lord Strengthens, Gives Comfort and Peace During Times of Trouble.
It can be challenging to find peace whenever you go through tough times. However, there is always hope in the Lord’s word. The Lord strengthens us and gives us peace, even during times of trouble. The Bible is filled with verses about how God is always with us, even when we feel most alone. Sometimes, it’s hard to know what to say, think or do, and in those times, there’s no better place to turn than the Word of God.
The Lord Gives Strength
When you are feeling weak, God is ready to give us strength. He will renew our inner man. David experienced this when he was on the run from King Saul. Psalm 18:32 says, “It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.” When we feel we can’t go on, we need to turn to the Lord and remember that God is arming us for battle and strengthening our running steps towards Him.
David wrote many songs of praise to God after experiencing Him as his strength and protection! So even though you may be tempted to crawl into your cave or some dark hiding place, instead, I encourage you today to look up at the light shining in through the window! Lift your hands in praise, and remember that He is the source of your strength.
The Lord Gives Comfort
The Lord always provides us with comfort no matter how hard things get. He knows our sorrows, the pains of every heartache, and He knows how to comfort us when we need it most. We can find comfort in knowing that He is with us every step of the way.
During difficult seasons, He will not leave us comfortless. He will be with us every step of the way until we get to His rest. But it is hard to fully understand this at times because our flesh tends to say, “I’m just too tired” or “This is just too painful.” We need to remember
Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of deep shadow, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”.
The Lord Provides Peace
Peace can sometimes seem elusive under challenging times. If we look in the wrong places, it can be hard to find peace. Peace is a feeling most people strive to attain. It’s how we want to feel and what we most often want for others. But how can we truly experience peace?
The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” The Bible assures us that God provides peace when we trust in Him. Trust is one of the most difficult things to give up control and hand over to someone else. However, it’s also one of the best gifts we can give ourselves.
The Lord is always with us, even when we are in our darkest hour. He comforts us with His presence and gives us the peace that surpasses all understanding. No matter what type of trouble you are in, the Lord will be there to strengthen, give comfort, and provide peace to you.
