As I pull out of my driveway every morning, I am met with the same view. The frame is set – the trees, the houses, the road. But what changes every day is the painting that the Lord creates for me within the frame. It’s new, unique, and beautiful every single day.
As I ponder this thought, I realize life is much like this daily painting. Each day presents us with a new canvas and an opportunity to create something beautiful. The frame may be set – our routines, responsibilities, and circumstances – but what we paint within it is entirely up to us.
The Lord gives us a new day every morning, and it’s up to us to make the most of it. Will we allow His hand to guide us in how we paint our day’s brushstrokes?
Just like a painter who chooses his colors carefully and blends them skillfully, we, too, must choose how we spend our time and energy each day. We can fill our canvas with positivity or negativity, love or hate, kindness or bitterness.
The colors we choose will determine how vibrant and meaningful our painting will be. And just like a painter who takes breaks between strokes to step back and assess his work, we also need to take regular breaks from our busy day to reflect on what we’ve created so far.
So let’s embrace each day as an opportunity to create a masterpiece that reflects who we are in Christ. Let’s allow ourselves to be guided by the Master’s hand and watch in awe as He transforms our ordinary lives into extraordinary works of art.
