How you see others will reveal how you see your own position with God. Valuing others isn’t just something we should do, but rather what we must do. In this, I go back to the Lord’s prayer – “Our Father” you’ve got to understand we are all children of God. We are coheirs in Christ. We all have the same heavenly father, and our father loves each of us equally. We can’t do anything that will make him love us more. We may all look different, we may all sound different, we may all talk different, but we are all equal in the fact that we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. There is no inequality under the blood. My sin didn’t take a different amount of blood to cover than yours.
I pray as Elisha did open our eyes (2 Kings 6:17-20). Open our spiritual eyes. Help us to see others through the loving eyes of Jesus Christ. God Almighty has chosen every believer, and he sees value in all.
God’s word says we were chosen before the foundation of the world (Eph. 4:1). He has created good works for us. He tells us that he has a plan and purpose for us, but listen that goes for every other believer as well. Learn to see God has a plan and purpose for others as well and when God elevates a person in their calling don’t allow feelings of jealousy to arise. Instead, allow joy to rise and celebrate what God is doing through them.
We must see the value of others through the eyes of Jesus.
